Fun Gifts for 9 year old boys

These gifts for 9 year old boys are sure to please!

Laser Tag- Boys love laser tag! Get a great set of laser tag guns and you're 9 year old will be set to play with the family or his friends! Laser tag doesn't require picking up darts everytime you want to reload or filling up with water every time it's depleted. As long as you have batteries, you are good to go. The great thing about laser tag, is not everyone has these guns so you'll get lots of use from them!

Lego- We can talk about lots in the Lego world. We have the detailed sets ranging from Minecraft to Star Wars to Superheroes to Ninjago and many more. If you have a lego buff, he'll be pleased with a new set. You can also take the Lego minifigures and use them to make your own stop motion animation videos! If you have someone with the patience to play out a story, posing the figures, and recording it, this is very doable for this age. They have an app for that- Stop Motion Studio or you can just do through your computer using the Hue animation studio software and camera from Amazon.

Action- 9 year olds boys are full of energy. So anything that gets them moving around and using that pent up energy is great and they will love. Think about things that will cause them to run around. Sports, riding toys, Nerf wars, etc. The latest skateboards or hoverboards are sure fire pleaser gifts for 9 year old boys. Are they into a specific sport? Maybe a new basketball, soccer ball, or football. Live near the ocean? think boogie board or skim board.

Wild and Crazy R/C- Remote control is great for this age. Crashing into surrounding cars, speeding past their friends' cars, jumping off the make do ramp. These are all things that get 9 year old boys excited. By 9 they are going to want something that looks all boy so steer clear of the babyish looking remote control vehicles and go with something that screams "All Boy". And do remember that they are boys so durability is key when looking for a good R/C.

Great ideas for gifts. I used to take care of my nieces and nephews and I bought them a set of legos. They absolutely loved it. I did not really expect that these kinds of toys are still around today. Anyway, I like the laser tag and I think it’s something that 9 year old kids today will love. Thanks for this article.

    Great ideas!
And I realise that you give an idea of one mix!
For Star Wars lover and big lego fan, I think I can mix it together. Is it not right that there are some Lego with Star wars fantasy? Would be a great idea!
And the wild and crazy drive is always fun!
Thank you for an inspired article.

I have an eight year old girl, but I was looking for stuff like this because she’s slowly turning into a tom boy, is very active, and I thought I might get some ideas from this site.

I like the idea about Laser Tag. I remember playing it when I was a kid and I loved it; I’d actually forgotten about it. Didn’t even know it was still around.

That’ll be a great gift. She can run around and I can play with her without being bored. Great idea.

My boys when they were nine, yes they are twins. just loved lego, and we gave them lego sets for birthdays and xmas. They just loved building and seeing the finished product. Being teenagers now they still have many of their lego masterpieces proudly displayed on their shelves. A really good gift for boys that is for sure!
